Following the receipt of a letter from the BRHA Executive, I have removed a statement referring to the cost of the new official BRHA website which is currently undergoing design work.

The Executive feel that the statement referring to the cost of the site is “insulting to the Association & disrespectful to every member of the BRHA” and I have therefore removed the references to this in order to refrain from upsetting you all, my fellow members.

I have also responded to the BRHA Executive via an open letter, which those interested can download here.

I would also like to release the following statement:

To All BRHA Members,
I would like to take this opportunity to apologise for the comment I had placed on this site, referring to the amount of our money which we are due to be paying for the new website which is currently being designed for the BRHA. I am informed that some of you found my actions to be “insulting” and “disrespectful”. For this I would apologise. It was not my intention to upset any of my fellow members within the League and certainly not to insult or disrespect you.
Further to this, I must confess that the figure which was originally quoted here was only based on “hear-say”. I have not seen the bill for the design and launch of the new website and can therefore confirm that the figure quoted was based on the current rumours which I am aware many of you have heard. I am informed that only the BRHA Executive are aware of the actual cost to us of the new site and can confirm that the, apparently incorrect, information regarding the costs did not come from any member of the Executive.
If any of you have found that my comments have substantially upset you in any way, please do not hesitate to contact me so that we may discuss this in person and that I may apologise to you personally.
Should you have any questions regarding the actual cost of the BRHAs website, I would ask that you request this information directly from a member of the BRHA Executive.
